The Kayfabe Crew

It’s hard to believe that I haven’t seen Rae Anne in person for over 25 years, she was such a staple at social events in my early 20s, then she was off to the east coast to start a life changing adventure.  As you will learn in this interview Rae Ann is a fellow podcaster, her podcast is called Balance, Fit and Free and you can find it on all the major podcasting platforms. 

you will hear in this episode I went to school with Kurt and he was one of the first people of my age I met in Laramie, when I moved from Gresham Oregon to Laramie at the age of 13. We both lived on Arnold street in Laramie and a lot has changed in that neighborhood and our lives since we lived there.  

If you grew up in Laramie you have probably heard the Names Deti, the high school stadium is called John Deti Stadium. John Deti Sr and John Deti Jr coached football for Laramie high school for decades and were very successful at it. I played for John Deti Jr in the early 90s and he shaped my life more than I truly know. So just imagine growing up a Deti and having all that history attached to your last name. 

You will learn in this episode I played high school football against Lee in High School and then he went on to play for the Wyoming Cowboys.  I thought it was pretty cool that a guy i played against got a scholarship to play football at UW and was very successful on that level, he even got drafted to the NFL.   

 It is so fun catching up with friends I went to college with and seeing what their experiences were like at the university of Wyoming. You will learn in this episode how drew got in to broadcasting and how it took one comment from a TV station supervisor to change his career path. 

You will learn in this episode that sometimes a major change in life can lead to bigger and better opportunities. Leslie has seen the world and it’s great to hear how someone from Laramie has accomplished so much with their life. 

Martha Reisch and I had a lot of fun in our 20s at the university of Wyoming, our paths did cross when her roommate dated the lead singer of a Laramie band( Medicine Tree), and that band would practice at my buddies apartment in  downtown Laramie, Those days are kind of blurry to me but you will learn in this episode how mine and Martha’s paths crossed again later in life. 

It had been way too long since I last saw and talked to Travis and I was excited to do this interview. As you will learn Travis and I move to Laramie from other towns, me in 8^th grade and him in 10^th grade. Our high school was pretty big for a Wyoming High school, our graduating class was around 300 people so I didn’t know Travis that well but I knew of him. We became better friends in college.   

Eve and I went to school together in Laramie Wyoming(Jr high, high school and college). we didn't run in the same circles but knew each other. You will learn that Eve explored the world before ending up in New York as a university professor. We have a lot of relatable experiences working in higher learning but different paths got us in to our respective fields.

Kody and I went to school together well from 8^th grade on in Laramie I don’t remember having any classes with Kody but he was an athletic trainer and I played sports so our paths crossed many times.  Kody also grew up with one of my best friends Rey White(episode 4), so I have heard some stories of the their younger years and well it was time to get him on the show.
